Typefaces: In this version of the site (let's call it version 3), I've left the work of typeface selection largely up to your machine. The masthead (or title, or logotype, or whatever you want to call it) and the Flash intro, are in Accidental Presidency by Tepid Monkey Fonts (tepidmonkey at operamail dot com). Previous versions of the site relied heavily on Ray Larabie's excellent freeware fonts, including Screengem, Joystix, and Blue Highway (which I have also used commercially). I also used to use something called Flotsam Smart quite a lot (but now it only appears in my "ad" on the front page).

why?

As for why this site exists—well, it keeps me off the streets. Actually, it has a few raisons d'être: it's an area in which I can develop my skills, keep my friends updated on what I'm doing, and possibly even have some kind of warped fun. It frequently fails to live up to its potential, much like its creator, though one of its hallmarks is self-deprecating humor of the most amusing variety, much like its creator. At one time I went further into answering "Why?" in my rationale for an anti-blog, which is probably as lame as I think it is.
